We interrupt our usual posts to bring you a special fashion and style update: our creative director got style spotted, again. Under his watchful eye and direction, we’ve done heaps of fashion related marketing work, from writing fashion editorial articles, blogger outreach programs, fashion and styling workshops, fashion store opening parties, street style spotting, social media campaigns and more. So it really is no surprise to us that he walks and talks fashion and style, inside and outside of work, and his insights in these areas when worked into our fashion marketing work is a hit with clients.
This time, he was spotted by the Melbourne fashion, lifestyle and culture website Makers of Melbourne, on Collins Street.
Here is a look back at the other instances, all the way to 2006, where he was the accidental street style subject.
It all started with the above feature on Melbourne-Runway in 2006, when the whole street style blogging scene was in its infancy.
Then it was being street style spotted at Melbourne Fashion Week 2010, at Federation Square.
In 2013, it was being spotted on Instagram for Mr Porter’s Global Style contest
Later, it was being spotted by H&M Australia in April 2014 for an Instagram street style contest to win VIP passes to the GPO store opening
At the very same H&M VIP party, being spotted by TheTrendspotter.net.
His personal tip for being style spotted? “It’s all about your presence, not about the brands you wear, if they’re the latest, the fanciest, the loudest or how expensive they are. There are heaps of people around the world who can outshine you in those areas, so dress yourself within your means, in comfort and in a confident style,” he said.
