News of the Singapore Stock Exchange making a takeover of the Australian Stock Exchange really unleashed some angry exchanges today, as seen by the comments made in reference to the news article in The Age, ‘Goodbye to the regional financial hub’ by Michael Pascoe.
We’re no experts in stock markets, but it seems that Singapore may have outplayed Australia in this instance, which gets us thinking: there may be other areas of business such as marketing that Singapore is ahead of Australia and other countries.
It’s such a coincidence that we’re also currently based in Singapore, so we’re not letting go of this opportunity to examine beyond the rigid and orderly veneer of this country, to find out why they may have the upper hand in marketing, business and other areas of life.
